I hope that all of you are enjoying the class as much as I am. I learn something new everytime I study this book. If it is O.K. with everyone will continue our study right through Easter. I am sure Pastor Tim will have an Easter message. I think it is very appropriate that we are talking about the ressurection in our study.

We missed several of you last Sunday. I think the last count was 14 attending on March 29.

Don't forget our trip to Cullman on April 18. I did not get to go the last time the class went so I am looking forward to it.

We did not get to finish what I wanted to this last Sunday, so we will finish talking about "standing firm" in your faithfulness in God. We will also talk about where and when will our deliverance come?

We will also talk about the millennium (very briefly).

Read through page 65 in your book. See all of you Sunday....

Heaven

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! It is a beautiful day today. I hope you can get out and enjoy it. My sister-in-laws sister died Sat. so I will be going to a funeral. I know that Bernice is with Jesus right now and what a glorious day that must be. Nothing that we can see or imagine here on earth compares to what she is seeing and feeling.

We ran out of time Sunday to finish our discussion on the present day Heaven. We will begin by asking any questions you might have so far and reading Revelations 10:9-10. One of the questions will be "do people have intermediate bodies in the present Heaven"?

Do people in the present heaven see what is happening on earth?

Does being aware of events on earth diminish our joy or happiness in Heaven?

Hopefully we can continue with the handout I gave you last week. This World is Not My Home...Or Is It?

In your Heaven book read to the middle of page 48.

Please pray each and every time you begin your study time that God will speak to you in a clear and concise way about Heaven.

Don't forget about lunch after church. We will be going to Sweet Bones at the Summit on 280. If any of you want to ride with me let me know Sunday. I can carry 4.

Hope to see all of you Sunday!!!

Well, we got a surprise Sunday waking up with snow on the ground. We will begin our Heaven study next Sunday, March 8. I hope you had an opportunity to read to page 17.
And I bet you already have questions. Hold those thoughts and we will answer them together. I am a grandmother again. Randi and Keith had a boy last Tuesday. His name is Daniel Noah Fundrburg. He weighed 8 lbs. even and was 21 3/4 inches long. Everyone is doing good. I kept Jake today. Jennifer has come down with that cold virus and did not want Jake to get it so Danny and I kept him today. He is getting so big. Before long Noah will be as big as Jake now.

Can't wait to begin our study. See all of you Sunday. I do have some more books for those who did not get one.

We had a great time of food and fellowship at LaDama Saturday. Thank you Joanne for being such a gracious hostess. The food was great. Afterwards we went to Joanne's house for an afternoon of games. We ended up playing Bunco and eating banana pudding and strawberry trifle. We had 16 from our class. We all decided that we need more time to PLAY together. We are trying to decide on a good time that we could start our own bunco group. It looks like we could get together maybe once a quarter. We will talk about it later.

Don't forget that this Sunday begins our study together on "Heaven" I have ordered a few more books if you did not get one this past Sunday. Be in prayer for everyone in our class. We all need to be uplifted.

Have a great week and hope we have everyone in class Sunday, March 1.

Hi,

I just want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine! As I got up this morning and heard about the plane crash in Buffalo I am reminded of how not to take life for granted. Give someone close to you a hug or kiss and let them know how much they mean to you. See you all Sunday....

Today on Good Morning America the author of the book that Marcia brought Sunday was on TV. He wrote "The Shack" for his children. When he wrote the book he made 15 copies on a printer to give to his children and friends. Well he has now sold over 6 million copies. I have not read the book but you can read an excerpt on ABC Good Morning America website. Marcia bought a copy for our class that you can read (you may have to get in line though). Pastor Tim mentioned this book several Sundays back in his sermon.

I received our books on Heaven. I will give them out Sunday. Remember this is a condensed version. You may want to buy the big book anyway. It is up to you. I will have a guide for you to complete each week as we study together.

I hope all of you are having a good day.

Hi,
I was glad to see everyone at Sunday School yesterday. We had 13 in class. Sheryl reminded us of our upcoming class meeting. We will all meet at "La Dama" (Pinnacle shopping center in Trussville) Feb. 21 at 11:00 A.M. After a lunch hosted and graciously provided by Joanne Roberts we will go to Joanne's house for an afternoon of fun and GAMES. Joanne will provide the games but if you have a favorite you are welcome to bring it.
Our Sunday School lesson was on being persistent on praying. Please continue in your daily prayers for Sturgis and Marcia Scott, Luci Jones, Joanne Roberts,Honey Black and those that were not mentioned.
The Mission Project for this month will be for the Eastern Area Christian Ministry. They need jelly or paper towels.
Pastor Tim had a great sermon from Luke 9:28-43. After Peter, John and James had a mountain top experience with Jesus the scripture tells us that the "next day" they were amazed that Jesus performed a miracle. Does this not sound like a lot of us? We come home from church and 'the next day" we sometines forget about the Lord until he does something miraculous and then we are "amazed".
Discipleship classes for the Winter Quarter begin Sunday evening. I hope you get a chance to plug in to one of the classes provided.
Have a Happy Valentine!!!
See you Sunday,
Gena
